Hurricane Ian Update 1: “Its like a warzone here…”
You have probably seen the news, Hurricane Ian has devastated huge areas of Florida, leaving people devastated without power, water, food, shelter, and fuel. Even though FEMA and other relief agencies are starting to bring aid, it is not fast enough.
Being based in Tampa, FL we have numerous friends, colleagues, and former business associates in the impacted area. We contacted everyone we could think of in that area to see how we could help. We asked questions like: What do you need? How are you doing? The responses we received were sadenning: “I have no clue what I need”, “All 3 hospitals in town are flooded”, “Everything is destroyed”, “Its like a warzone here”.
Our nonprofit organization, is partnering with other organizations (like, Global Ministries & Relief) to more effectively and efficiently provide relief to people in dire need. We have a trailer filled with water and fuel ready to go as soon as the roads reopens. Instead of buying the non-perishable food, hygiene products and water ourselves, we're partnering with a food bank based in Sarasota that can buy the goods at pennies on the dollar.
Some finances have been raised and 100% has gone to aid the victims of this catastrophic storm. We pay all our own expenses, fuel, and vehicles trailer rentals.
Please donate today. Again, our pledge is 100% of the money given will buy food, fuel, water, generators, and hygiene products. All these supplies will be given to the victims of this disaster.
